Virtual Town Hall Meeting
February 8, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Join Stephen for a virtual Town Hall meeting where you can safely ask questions from where-ever you are. Go to Real Change SA on Facebook to watch live.
Hosted by Adelaide Journalist, PR & Communications Consultant Leigh McClusky, Stephen will be answering questions emailed via firstname.lastname@example.org, or texted on 0482 017 057, with your name and where you’re from.
After years of watching the decline of representative democracy in South Australia and the questionable standards of politicians in this state, Stephen Pallaras QC has decided to throw his hat in the ring in a bid to get better representation for the people of South Australia. Standing for the Upper House as a Member of the Legislative Council, if elected, Stephen will represent all South Australians, something he feels is not happening enough, right now.
A strong advocate for establishing the Independent Commission Against Corruption, Stephen drove the public mood for its establishment, only to see its powers emasculated at the end of 2021, when every single politician in the South Australian parliament voted to reduce its powers so that the politicians themselves cannot be investigated. Not a single politician can be drawn on the subject by the media.
Before establishing McCo Group, her strategic communications, media and marketing company, Leigh’s career in print, radio and television journalism across Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney spanned over 30 years. Leigh is best known as the host of the ABC’s 7.30 Report and Adelaide’s Today Tonight.
Watch live on Facebook as Stephen is interviewed about his bid to enter the South Australian parliament to give South Australians an effective voice and restore ethics and accountability to politics in South Australia. He’s tired of watching Government Ministers collect a pay check from taxpayers, while sitting on their hands doing nothing except turn a blind eye to what is happening in their portfolios for which they bear responsibility under our system of Government.
